The whitening gel is carefully applied to the teeth and left in place for about 30 minutes before being cleaned off and reapplied for another 30 minutes. Applying a fresh coat of the whitening gel helps maximize your whitening results. After the second coat is removed, the retractor and dam will also be removed, effectively finishing your whitening treatment.
